Welcome to CI News! 

Happy New Year and a very warm welcome to the 1st edition of the New Year. 

I hope we’re all raring to go with the opportunities and challenges 2025 has in store for us. Christmas and Hogmanay already feel a very long time ago, and I hope the couple of days snow that we had is all we’re getting this winter. 

Thank you to everyone who has sent suggestions for CI News. I know it can be disappointing if your suggestion isn’t included in the next edition. Not every suggestion will appear straight away but where appropriate, will be added over time. 

In the meantime, don’t forget to send photographs (with a brief description) for inclusion in the feature photos section. 

We now officially have 6 trainee Clinical Photographers! 4 of the team did their induction at Staffs Uni last week, so are on the PGc course. I’m sure I’m not the only one keeping my fingers crossed that number will reduce to 4 very soon when last year’s results are announced.
